Teachers are responsible for ensuring that their students comprehend the materials. However, studies show that students learn better if their parents study and read with them outside of school. If a teacher feels that a student who is falling behind could catch up if his parents worked with him more, is it the teacher’s right to tell the parents to work with the student more? Is that crossing the line?
